作者簡介：
凱倫‧阿姆斯壯（Karen Armstrong）
英國作家，曾是一位天主教修女，後於牛津大學研究文學，並曾於倫敦大學貝佛（Bedford）學院教授十九與二十世紀英國文學，目前任教於里歐‧貝克（Leo Baeck）學院，教授猶太教相關課程。1999年獲頒「穆斯林公共事務委員會媒體獎」（Muslim Public Affairs Council Media Award）。
阿姆斯壯著作甚豐，包括《穿越窄門》（Through the Narrow Gate）、《第一個基督徒：聖保羅對基督教的影響》（The First Christian: St. Paul's Impact on Christianity）、《女性觀點福音書：基督教在西方引起的性別戰爭》（The Gospel According to Woman: Christianity's Creation of the Sex War in the West）、《聖戰：十字軍及其對今日世界之影響》（Holy War: The Crusades and Their Impact on Today's World）、《神的歷史》（A History of God）、《耶路撒冷：一座城市、三個信仰》（Jerusalem: One City, Three Faiths）、《為神而戰》（The Battle for God，中譯本將由究竟出版）等宗教著作。
